I have been thinking about doing a video of what NOT to say to someone who has lost a person or even a pet. For example, "Oh you can get another dog. There are so many at the pound." Yes, and, grief for fur babies is REAL. Would you say to someone, "oh you can get a new grandma. There are so many at the old age home." NO! And yet, loss feels the same.
OK, off the soap box. I occurred to me this morning, my least favorite thing told to me (old wound reopened when someone I haven't spoken to in over 6 years reached out and I had to mention Barry's passing) "Oh but you're so strong." Bull----. At that moment we feel weak and vulnerable. My thought, moving along a hypnosis/programming perspective is this; Widow fog is just another way of saying trance. And we are susceptible…
Congrats!
