Deep Brain Fear Reprogramming

Need some volunteers to do some DBFR with me. It will be 3 sessions, 3 weeks in a row. So please only volunteer if your calendar is open.

This is totally different than anything Amy has taught us, so I need practice.

Come as a client, not a practitioner mind. EXCEPT - at the end of each session (briefly) and at the end of it all (about 30 minutes?) I want your honest impressions.

And at the very end if you are willing, a Google review will help.

http://www.chatwithcatherine.com and get on my calendar, then send me a note here. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

HEy I'll be a guinea pig. Can i first say that when your site popped up - your cover image is both asthetically pleasing, but it has me intrigued and wowed.

Getting people to come into your structured world....

Many people don't talk about the financial trauma that goes on in the nonprofit world and how it's stacked from the personal side, their business or workplace, and the nonprofit itself.

.

Leaders are throwing spaghetti at the wall due to constant re-traumatization from repeated rejections, individuals not showing up, and administrative overload.

I tried suggesting various tools in our course, and they literally give me the side eye or just admit they don't see the point.

Sorta the same response about my book. there is this mega disconnect between me really hitting on the importance of slowing down.

They can't, they don't know how to. I can relate! I was there before.

Ask pointed questions. Is it possible "people" treat business finances the same as personal ones?

Are you trying to solve a problem with the same thoughts and ways of doing things that got you into the problem?

You keep going at this such and such a way. How is that going for you? Have you changed anything? No? Maybe you should look at something different.

Personally, I would confront the side eyes.

Is there brain science behind this?

I have been thinking about doing a video of what NOT to say to someone who has lost a person or even a pet. For example, "Oh you can get another dog. There are so many at the pound." Yes, and, grief for fur babies is REAL. Would you say to someone, "oh you can get a new grandma. There are so many at the old age home." NO! And yet, loss feels the same. OK, off the soap box. I occurred to me this morning, my least favorite thing told to me (old wound reopened when someone I haven't spoken to in over 6 years reached out and I had to mention Barry's passing) "Oh but you're so strong." Bull----. At that moment we feel weak and vulnerable. My thought, moving along a hypnosis/programming perspective is this; Widow fog is just another way of saying trance. And we are susceptible…

Do some research and let us know what you find out! There's brain science behind everything that goes on in our minds, but what exactly is happening that makes you feel upset when you hear certain things, or what is going on with the people saying them that they think their comments are helpful - it's probably rather complicated. See what you find out on that front, though, and let's discuss! 😃
